Come hang out with us

We're excited to get outside together this August at Silver Creek Campground. This is a low-key gathering — no meals, drinks, or programming are provided. The only thing we've organized is the campsite. Just bring what you need and come enjoy some time together outdoors.

Whether you're planning to stay the whole weekend or just swing by for a day, we'd love to see you.

Where we're staying

The campground

Silver Creek Campground is a public USFS campground in the Boise National Forest. The church has reserved one group site here — Cabin Creek (G002) — for our whole group. The $10/$20 contribution covers our share of that reservation.

• Drive-in access, riverfront on Silver Creek, shaded by lodgepole pines
• Holds up to 80 people · ADA accessible · pets welcome on a leash
• Picnic tables, fire rings, a central fire pit, tent pads, a lean-to shelter
• Vault toilets and drinking water
• No hookups · no showers · no cell service

How to stay at the site

Both tent and RV setups work in our group site. Both are covered by the $10/$20 contribution.

• Tent — pitch wherever you find a good spot in the group site.
• RV or trailer — no hookups. Self-contained rigs only. Generators are okay 9 AM – 9 PM.

Things to do at camp

• Hiking — Peace Creek, Silver Creek Summit, and Bull Creek trails start nearby.
• Fishing — Silver Creek is stocked with rainbow trout. Bring a pole and an Idaho license.
• Stargazing — no cell service means no light pollution either. The Milky Way is easy to see.

Getting there

From Boise, take State Highway 21 north for about 36 miles to Lowman, then follow signs for Silver Creek Plunge / Silver Creek Campground on Forest Road 671. About 2 hours total from Boise.

Our spot is the Cabin Creek group site (G002), just north of Silver Creek Plunge. Full details and the official map are on recreation.gov.

Right next door

Silver Creek Plunge

A short walk from camp is Silver Creek Plunge — a separate, family-run mountain resort with a geothermal pool, a small store, a lodge, and rental cabins. Nothing here is included in our church reservation. If you want to use any of it, you book and pay the Plunge directly. It's a fun add-on if you're up for it, totally optional if you're not.

Cabin & A-frame rentals

If you'd rather sleep indoors than in a tent or RV, the Plunge rents A-frames from around $69/night and family cabins from around $89. Availability is limited — book early on their website. You book and pay the Plunge directly; this is separate from the church reservation.

Snacks, ice, firewood, propane, and towel rentals — at the Plunge office.
